The Duchy of Vasinotono is the northern- and westernmost duchy in the Kingdom of Naraka. It consists of seventeen counties commonly thought to be part of the States of Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. The capital of Vasinotono is Siretara (Seattle), since that is where the King lives. Other large cities in Vasinotono are Zekana (Yakima), Varasavarasa (Walla Walla), and Vokoteraro (Pocatello).

Vasinotono is bordered on the southeast by the Duchy of Karasareto; on the southwest by the States of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Utah; and on the northeast by the States of Washington and Idaho.

The Duchy of Vasinotono is subject to the laws of Naraka whether the locals like it or not.

The Ducal symbol that King Sotosoroto carries is the Royal Scepter. It is exactly one sateve (9 svn.) long, since its length is the definition of a sateve. His Majesty is empowered by Law to hit you with it if you insult him. (If the scepter isn't within easy reach, he'll find something else to hit you with.) The Royal Scepter is actually just a length of bamboo, so don't bother stealing or breaking it since the King can just get another by the Bayou.

The Ducal Animal is the Three-Toed Sloth. The runner-up in the vote was the Naked Mole Rat. The Three-Toed Sloth makes a good national animal because it has big claws and tries to spend its entire life in trees. Well, okay, those aren't very good reasons, but there really aren't any good reasons.

The Ducal Sport is Quake. It lost the National Sport election, but most of the Quake votes were from Vasinotono and most Vasinotonoans voted for Quake. This is all Kesarini's fault, of course.

The northernmost counties of Vasinotono are grouped into the region of Siretara. This includes the populous County of Kini, where King Sotosoroto currently reside.

Just southeast of them is the region of Venataratana, which includes the Principality of Sorokono.

The largest region of Vasinotono is Nikara. Not many people live there, though.

The southernmost region in Vasinotono is Vokoteraro. It borders on the Duchy of Karasareto.

Not all of the counties have counts yet, so don't hesitate to ask King Sotosoroto if you want to be nobility!
